Better Buildings

In the Better Buildings Initiative, more than 900 commercial, public, industrial, and residential organizations share their proven energy efficiency strategies and help others realize their potential for energy efficiency. Through Better Buildings, DOE works across key building sectors to advance energy efficiency and decarbonization in the built environment. People can explore the different building sectors such as as Commercial Real Estate, Financial Services, Higher Education, and Local Government.

Provided within the links for these sectors are progress reports, facts sheets, case studies, webinars, online library/resources, information on how to enter the partnerships, and other useful information. Browsers can learn about different ways to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in buildings that they own or occupy. The Navigator on this website helps users secure financing that works for them.

The website allows people to find information by these topics: Solution, Financing, Decarbonization, Resilience, Renewables, Combined Heat and Power(CHP), and/or COVID-19. Users can search for programs, partners, and other initiatives. They can also attend events and webinars the website provides access to.
